Can I rent my timeshare week to someone else if I can't use it?

Answered By Mel Tremaine, Editor

Yes, you can, as long as there is an advance notice to other members of the time-share program. You can even rent it out to someone else if you foresee an event where in you cannot take advantage of the week where your timeshare week falls in. Since you own the property for that allotted time, you can let someone else use the timeshare property in your behalf.
